5 Easy Ways to Build Backlinks Quick

You probably know the more sites that link to your site the better. While it's great when people link to your site because it's awesome you can also build some links yourself. When you build a link back to your site it's called a "backlink". There are many many ways you can build backlinks to your site. Here are a few of my favorites.

Squidoo

Squidoo is this huge site that allows you to create content for free. They turn into these little one page minisites. They can be on any topic you choose, and you can link to your site as well as use your affiliate links to link to related products and make some money.

Squidoo is a fantastic community and is already an authority site so your lens will get a little boost in the rankings if you choose your keywords well. Links to your site from Squidoo are a great way to build up your own site's authority.

Articles

Writing articles is another way you can build backlinks to your site. When you write an article you create a "resource box". Within the resource box you can link to other resources, which can of course be your site.

Free Ad Blogs

These are very similar to article directories except they are built on wordpress blogs. You register at the site and then write a brief article or post. Make sure you link back to your site within the post. This is your backlink. Click publish and you're done.

Forums

When you join a forum community and begin to participate you can take advantage of your signature file. This is where you can direct people to any site or place you choose (within reason). Many forums allow you to use html links in your signature, so you will create a keyword anchor text link at the bottom of every post you create. Just remember this is a community so go in, participate and contribute.

Free Blogs

There are so many opportunities to create free blogs online now. Blogger is one of the biggest, but there are tons of smaller free blogging platforms out there as well. When you create a free blog you can then create posts on that blog. Within the post you can link back to your site. You can also use the sidebar to create links to sites as well. Make sure you writing decent content, you don't want to spam these free blog platforms with nonsense content. Remember, you're on a free platform which means they can delete your account if they so choose. So produce some quality content and you'll be fine.
